The company was founded in 1989 by the Tragakis family with the aim of producing high quality Greek delicatessen. The factory is situated in the beautiful country of Halkidiki, 65 kilometers from Thessaloniki in northern Greece. It operates under the strict rules of the European Union (50.A.14), and has certification ISO 22000.

For the manufacture of TRAGAKIS products, imported wild sea fish is used (not farmed). The fish is subject to all the requisite regulations of the European Union.

In agreement with the Aegean tradition, TRAGAKIS products are lightly salted, without chemical additives or preservatives. In this way the company has been able to produce authentic Greek products of high quality, resulting in steady growth and development.

The customers are mainly distributors, delicatessen and gourmet outlets, catering firms and large supermarket chains.

The company is always researching the market for new products and packaging and also new presentations for its customers.
